E-mail has response times different from an instant messaging channel, so it is much slower compared to other channels. It may vary in response time or receipt of emails.

When registering an email channel with a "Personal" account, please note that email providers limit the number of emails sent per day, that is, on average there are 25 emails that can be sent by day, after reaching the limit, it will no longer be possible to send emails, only to receive. For this reason, we strongly recommend the use of "Enterprise / Commercial" emails that have limits and rules that allow for a greater number of sending emails.

To set up e-mail, you need to follow the steps below:

01 - Create the Channel

When creating the channel, it is necessary to fill in the IMAP and SMTP information:

  • IMAPIt is the email account that will receive the messages and send to;
  • SMTP: It is the email account that will send the messages from to the contact;

The email account will be an account that will have a flow assigned to it, all traffic will be for specific service messages.

02 - Create Channel Rules

In these rules you can define which specific service he will direct the email to.

It is also possible to add a standard message to be sent when receiving a contact's first email without a session on SZchat.

Setting up a Gmail account

Gmail for security reasons allows you to login to your account through app accounts, so you need to create one for the configuration to work properly.
